Full cast and creative team announced for 'Mean Girls' in the West End

Charlie Burn, Georgina Castle, Elèna Gyasi, and Grace Mouat will play Cady Heron and The Plastics in Tina Fey's musical about the politics of popularity in high school.

That's so fetch! The full cast and creative team has been announced for Mean Girls, which opens at the Savoy Theatre in the West End on 6 June. Performances have also been extended to 16 February 2025.

Tina Fey, Jeff Richmond, and Nell Benjamin's musical follows home-schooled Cady Heron as she attempts to fit into an Illinois high school and is drawn into popular clique The Plastics, which is ruled by Queen Bee Regina George.

The cast includes Charlie Burn (Les Misérables, Disney100 UK tour) as Cady Heron, Georgina Castle (Dirty Dancing, Elf the Musical) as Regina George, Elèna Gyasi (SIX, Treason the Musical) as Gretchen Wieners, and Grace Mouat (Before After, The Great British Bake Off Musical) as Karen Smith.

Elena Skye (Les Misérables, Kinky Boots) and Tom Xander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Book of Mormon) will play Janis Sarkisian and Damian Hubbard, while Daniel Bravo (Cruel Intentions, Witness for the Prosecution) is heartthrob Aaron Samuels and Lucca Chadwick-Patel (MAMMA MIA!, Legally Blonde) is Kevin Ganatra, captain of ‘The Mathletes’.

Ako Mitchell (The Sound of Music, Black Superhero) will play North Shore Principal Mr Duvall, while Ms Norbury will be played by Zoë Rainey (Made in Dagenham, An American in Paris), who is also cast in the roles of Mrs George and Ms Heron.

They are joined by Tia Antoine-Charles, Georgia Arron, Liam Buckland, Shonah Buwu, Baylie Carson, Freddie Clements, Siobhan Diffin, Clíona Flynn, Fergie Fraser, Angus Good, Jenny Huxley-Golden, Holly Liburd, Corey Mitchell, Mervin Noronha, Aharon Rayner, Trézel Sergeant, Josh Singleton, Annie Southall, Lillia Squires, Tommy Wade-Smith, and Holly Willock.

The creative team includes writer Tina Fey (30 Rock), composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).

Joining the award-winning creative team are set designer Scott Pask, costume designer Katrina Lindsay, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, sound designer Brian Ronan, video designers Finn Ross and Adam Young, hair designer Josh Marquette, and musical supervisor Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

Mean Girls is based on the 2004 film, also written by Fey, and had its world premiere in 2017 at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. The musical opened on Broadway in April 2018 at the August Wilson Theatre, and then went on a US tour in 2019. It is currently on its second US tour.
